Lio Rush is the current IMPACT Wrestling X Division champion after beating Chris Sabin for the strap Slammiversary on July 15th. to was good to go for Multiverse United 2 after an injury scare a few weeks ago.
Speaking to Darren Paltrowitz on the Paltrocast, Lio Rush was asked about his rehab process when it comes to injuries.
“Slow and steady wins the race, but I’ve never stopped moving. Never stopped moving. A lot of care goes into taking care of my body now. A lot of rehab, a lot of therapy, a lot of cryotherapy. I’m actually going to train in this ring and then head to cryotherapy after this. I have to keep up with my body and keep up with my nutrition. I’m very particular and strict about what I put in my body. Those two play a huge part in me being able to do what I do today,” he said.
When asked about his upcoming schedule with IMPACT, Lio said he plans on making the towns.
“As of right now, that’s the way it looks like,” he said about appearing at the upcoming UK tour. “New York is coming up, Toronto is coming up, Philly is coming up. I would imagine, if I’m the champion, I will be there, and I imagine that I will be the champion. We’ll see.”

Rush teamed up with Trey Miguel to take on the team of Mike Bailey & IWGP Hiromu Takahashi. After a great back and forth match, Rush for the pin on Takahashi to win the match for his team. After the match, Rush challenged Takahashi to wrestle him and put his IWGP Jr Heavyweight Title on the line in the match. Bailey had challenged Takahashi the night prior to that when he won the All Star Juniors Festival.
The match was made official earlier today: Hiromu Takahashi will defend his title against both Mike Bailey & Lio Rush in a Triple Threat Match on October 9th in Ryogoku, Japan.
Lio is also set to team with Moose, Bully Ray, and Brian Myers to take on Josh Alexander & Time Machine (Chris Sabin, Kushida, and IMPACT World Champion, Alex Shelley) at the LIVE Emergence event on 8/27.
Lio was also announced to take on Kevin Knight at the Emergence Fallout TV Taping on 8/28.
