Charlotte Flair Says She’s Breaking Her Father’s World Title Record

Charlotte Flair is dead set on breaking her father’s and John Cena’s world title record.

At present, only two competitors have won sixteen world titles in WWE, with those being Ric Flair and John Cena.

Charlotte Flair is currently sitting on 14 world title wins throughout her WWE career so far, and with no end in sight for the daughter of Ric, it seems she will be the one to not only equal, but break her father’s record.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Charlotte stated she’s going after the record.

“I’m breaking the record,” said Flair. “I’m so close. For so long, I stayed away from discussing it. But I’ve done every single thing there is to do, and this is my next goal. I want to keep getting better and see where I can take this character.”

Charlotte was then asked about her record of 7 for 7 WrestleMania appearances in championship matchups.

“That wasn’t a goal, it just happened along the way. I’m betting on myself being the champion or challenger. Brock Lesnar is the only other person to do that,”

Flair faced Asuka and Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2023. In the end of that match, IYO Sky would end up walking out the champion thanks to her Money In The Bank briefcase.
