Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega Was Considered For All In Prior To Danielson’s Injury

AEW considered booking an absolutely massive rematch for AEW All In prior to his injury.

On September 5, 2021, Danielson made his surprise debut for AEW, confronting Kenny Omega at All Out moments after Adam Cole also made his debut in the promotion. After, Omega and Danielson would form a rivalry that had some of the best matches in the history of wrestling television.

With All In on the horizon, there have been reports of what Kenny Omega and other AEW stars will be doing at the event in Wembley Stadium, featuring a big trios match involving Omega, Jay White and more.

Fightful Select has now added that a rematch between two of the best wrestlers in the world was at least considered for Wembley Stadium.

Sources confirmed that Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson was at least considered for the show before the injury, and even for a little bit after the injury, as the company hoped he’d be ready for a return. However, AEW sources claimed that were were also other plans for Omega, but didn’t hear what those were. It was reiterated to Fightful that Omega and Danielson was considered, but not planned.
