Brock Lesnar Suffered Injury During SummerSlam Match, When He Is Expected To Return To WWE

Brock Lesnar suffered an injury during his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

At the event, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes battled it out to complete their trilogy of matches that began at Backlash earlier this summer.

The rivalry began after Lesnar brutally destroyed Cody Rhodes on the RAW after WrestleMania but in the end, Cody Rhodes would weather his hard times with The Beast to defeat him one more time at SummerSlam. After the match, Brock would shake Cody’s hand, seemingly passing the torch to Rhodes in the process.

However, Lesnar did not escape from the match without injury. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that Brock suffered an injury during the early stages of the SummerSlam bout. Lesnar will be out until at least the beginning of next year, but it is unknown as of this writing what injury Brock is carrying after the match.

The plan is for Brock Lesnar to return for the build up to the Royal Rumble & from there going to WrestleMania. Although it is possible he returns for the November Saudi Arabia show even if today that isn’t the plan, or if there is an injury

Lesnar has rarely suffered injuries during his time in professional wrestling, but any updates on Brock’s current injury will be posted to Bodyslam.net as the news breaks.

After SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes revealed that post match, he expected Brock to start swinging before he shook his hand.
