Roman Reigns worked much of Tribal Combat hurt.
The match was a deeply personal affair as Roman defended his Tribal Chief status and WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against his cousin and former right hand man, Jey Uso.
In the end, Reigns was able to retain thanks to the interference of Jimmy Uso.
As per Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Roman picked up an injury early on in the matchup but was able to keep performing despite it.
“Roman Reigns got hurt in that match (at SummerSlam). I haven’t watched the beginning of the match over again but I heard it was relatively early I don’t know the nature of the injury, I just heard he worked the match hurt. He got hurt early in the match.”

It is unknown at this time how hurt Roman is and how long he will be out for, should the injury be significant enough for him to miss time.
