During todays press pass with Alex Shelley, hosted by Gail Kim, Himanshu Doi from 411 Mania asks Gail Kim about Deonna Purrazzo’s video yesterday that IMPACT released on their social media account where she told Stardom and NJPW to “send their best” for Multiverse United 2 show, as well as the possibility of seeing more Stardom talent come into IMPACT.
Gail Kim responded: “I know that she is their current champion, she beat Willow (Nightingale, former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion). Anyone who’s going to be the NJPW Women’s Champion I’m sure has a lot of credibility. I would love to see more talent from #STARDOM.”
Gail continues: “I’ve actually talked about this in the past. I love their product, I love their promotion. I’ve seen a lot of other talent come out of there. When I’m watching other women’s promotions and that’s the first one I will tune into so having their champion face The Virtuosa, who is – to me – probably one of the best females out there right now. I mean, consistency, 5 star matches, I mean, Deonna is killing it right now and she’s one of the ones to beat, so to see their champion face off against her would be a dream match for all the fans out there.”
“I would just love to see a mashup of our girls combined with maybe those (STARDOM) girls, come over and maybe do a special. To see a different roster of talented women and a different style as well would prove to be very interesting.”

Giulia defeated Willing Nightingale to become the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion at NJPW Strong Independence Day, which took place on July 4th. The match ended when Giulia hit a Northern Lights Bomb to gain the pinfall.
