Ilja Dragunov comments on possibly joining Imperium in the future.
In recent months, there have been many rumors and fantasy booking surrounding Ilja Dragunov possibly joining the Imperium faction, despite Gunther and Dragunov’s history as rivals.
When asked about potentially joining Imperium by Andrew Spoors of WrestleSphere, Dragunov wondered who wants to see him join the faction, as they do not fit together.
“My question to this is honestly, who would actually want this? There couldn’t be more differences between Imperium and me. Those guys are very cold, very stoic, very methodical. I’m a completely unbalanced super intense mad dragon. That’s the person I am. They don’t fit together. Who wants to see something that is not fitting together?”

The NXT man is currently scheduled to face off with NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes at the NXT Great American Bash on Sunday with the championship on the line.
We will have to wait and see if Dragunov will one day join Imperium or if he will once again become a rival of Gunther’s in the future.
