IMPACT Wrestling Praises Nick Aldis; Steve Maclin Injury Update

Moments ago, Mike Johnson of PWInsider provided a comment from IMPACT Wrestling on the departure of Nick Aldis and somewhat of an injury update on Steve Maclin:

“Impact Wrestling sources today praised Nick Aldis’ work during his most recent run, noting that the entire run featured a story specifically designed to have a beginning, a middle and an end and that Aldis “nailed” everything that was asked of him.

In an update on Steve Maclin’s injury, we are told he continues to be monitored and the hope is he’ll be cleared to return much sooner than initially expected.

The next several weeks of Impact in 60 will feature matches from the Impact Down Under tour.”

Nick Aldis returned to IMPACT Wrestling at their Rebellion PPV back in April. He made it known right away that he was after the IMPACT World Title. Aldis defeated Kenny King at the LIVE Under Siege event in May, and then won a #1 contenders match for the IMPACT World Title in June at Against All Odds, which put him against Alex Shelley at Slammiversary this past Saturday. Aldis lost the match to Alex Shelley, and worked the Slammiversary Fallout TV taping on Sunday, taking on Eric Young.

Steve Maclin was injured during his rematch for the IMPACT World Title against current champion Alex Shelley during the Australia Down Under Tour.

As always, myself and the Bodyslam staff wish Maclin a speedy recovery from the injury.
