NJPW G1 Climax 33 Night 2 Results (7/16/2023), Eddie Kingston Makes G1 Debut

New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax Opening weekend continued on July 16th with Night 2 of the tournament at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center Hokkai Kitayell in Sapporo, Japan. The first matches for the C and D Block were scheduled for this event.

The main event of Night 2 of G1 Climax 33 saw Tetsuya Naito take a loss as he was defeated by Jeff Cobb. In the process, Cobb earned his first two points of the tournament.

Eddie Kingston had a successful G1 Climax debut as defeated Shingo Takagi to claim 2 points in the standings.

  • Main Event: D Block: Jeff Cobb defeated Tetsuya Naito (Jeff Cobb 2 pts)
  • C Block: EVIL defeated Tama Tonga (EVIL 2 pts)
  • D Block: Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi ( Zack Sabre Jr 2 pts)
  • C Block: Eddie Kingston defeated Shingo Takagi (Eddie Kingston 2 pts)
  • D Block: Shane Haste defeated Alex Coughlin (Shane Haste 2 pts)
  • C Block: Mikey Nicholls defeated Aaron Henare (Mikey Nicholls 2 pts)
  • D Block: Hirooki Goto defeated Toru Yano (Hirooki Goto 2 pts)
  • C Block: David Finlay defeated Tomohiro Ishii (David Finlay 2 pts)
