Mark Briscoe Likely To Require Surgery For Knee Injury

Mark Briscoe could be on the shelf for quite a while.

Last night, AEW president Tony Khan announced that Mark Briscoe had suffered a knee injury and would not be cleared to face off with Claudio Castagnoli at ROH Death Before Dishonor.

Little was given in the way of information regarding the injury, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has reported that Briscoe will likely require surgery for a knee injury.

Those close to Mark Briscoe confirmed to us that he sustained a knee injury that will likely require surgery. We wish him a speedy recovery

We will have to wait and see how long Briscoe will be on the shelf.

With regards to Castagnoli and Death Before Dishonor, a replacement opponent is expected to be announced following Blood and Guts on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
