Early this morning, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to reveal that Steve Maclin had apparently suffered an Injury sometime either during or after his match with Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Title on night 1 of the Australia Down Under Tour.

Maclin was scheduled to wrestle Frankie Kazarian on night 2, however, was pulled from the match and replaced by Brian Myers.

In an update to this story, Mike
Johnson from PWInsider.com
revealed the following:

“Former Impact Wrestling Champion Steve Maclin was injured against Alex Shelley yesterday on Night One of the Impact Down Under tour against Alex Shelley. Impact sources confirmed it was a legitimate injury, not a storyline deal, and that Maclin’s status going forward is to be determined. He will be evaluated further once he returns to the United States. We wish him a quick recovery.”

Maclin is currently scheduled to team with Bully Ray at Slammiversary on July 15th as they take on the team of Scott D’Amore & PCO, with 4x NHL Stanley Cup winner Darren McCarty to be the Special Guest Referee.

Bodyslam.net will keep you all updated as far as his status moving forward, and also wishes Maclin a speedy recovery with whatever his injury is.
