AJPW star Cyrus The Destroyer: “Yuma Aoyagi, I Am Coming For The Triple Crown Championship”

At the July 2nd All Japan Pro-Wrestling Summer Action Series 2023, Yuma Aoyagi defeated Yuji Nagata to become the new AJPW Triple Crown Champion. As the saying goes, when you win the top prize of any promotion, you immediately have a target on your back. Yuma Aoyagi’s title win is no exception to that unwritten rule.

Last night after his title victory Aoyagi was Immediately challenged by Hokuto Omori. But he wasn’t the only one who has challenged Aoyagi less than a day into his title reign.

AJPW star Cyrus the Destroyer was a guest on The Alliance Pro Wrestling Network YouTube channel and issued a challenge of his own. Cyrus, who holds a pinfall victory over Yuma Aoyagi back in April at the AJPW Champion Carnival 2023 Tournament had a few choice words for Aoyagi.

Cyrus was asked if he deserved a shot at Yuma Aoyagi and the Triple Crown Championship based on that win at Champion Carnival 2023:

Yeah, for sure, I feel like I definitely deserve a shot, we had a really good match in Osaka and I think it deserves to be seen again.

Cyrus was asked if he had a message for the new champion:

What I would say when I’m coming back is I typically tell people to watch their back but I’ll let him know I’ll come at him face to face because I want that title.

Cyrus had a warning for AJPW Triple Crown Champion Yuma Aoyagi as the interview was coming to an end:

Yuma Aoyagi, when I head back to Japan, I am coming for that title.
