Madison Rayne Out Of Action With A Foot Injury

Tony Khan provides an update on the injury status of Madison Rayne.

Rayne was originally brought into AEW for a coaching role with the women’s division, but quickly found herself in an on screen role also. Rayne has faced off with the very women she has been coaching several times, including a TBS Title clash with former champion Jade Cargill. Rayne hasn’t wrestled since she competed in a dark match during the April 7 ROH TV tapings against Robyn Renegade.

Speaking during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media call, Tony Khan explained that Rayne is currently out of action with a foot injury.

“Madison Rayne and Sarah Stock are both very involved in the coaching and producing of matches. I have a lot of people who come in and make suggestions and bring ideas. Sarah has added a lot since she’s been with us and Madison has been here a bit longer. She had been out of wrestling with an injury, she’s still backstage with us, dealing with a foot injury she had in a match a couple of months ago. Excited to get her back in the ring at some point. She is tremendously useful backstage. It’s great to get their perspective on the women’s division,”

There is currently no timetable for Madison’s return to the ring, but it is good to know she continues to remain busy backstage despite the injury.
