Chris Hero Working Backstage With AEW On A Trial Basis

Chris Hero may be All Elite soon.

The independent wrestler has enjoyed stints in most major professional wrestling companies throughout his tenure in the business.

Fightful Select now reports that AEW have decided to bring Hero in for a backstage role on a trial basis. Hero will be on hand for the debut of AEW Collision tonight.

Chris Hero is being looked at as a potential name to join All Elite Wrestling in at least a backstage capacity, Fightful Select has learned. We’ve been told that Hero is in town and is scheduled to be backstage at the AEW Collision debut in Chicago tonight, working with the company on a trial basis. Hero hasn’t wrestled since his WWE release over three years ago. However, he told Grapsody’s Righteous Reg and Phil Lindsey recently that he’s not retired, and is waiting for the right situation to occur. Numerous independent promoters have confirmed that they’ve expressed interest in booking him in the past. We don’t know if there are any plans for Hero to wrestle for AEW, but there are plenty on the roster that have history with him.

We will have to wait and see if Hero will secure a fulltime job working backstage in AEW, but we will continue to update fans on Hero’s status with the company.
