Andrade El Idolo Defeats Buddy Matthews With The Figure 8, House Of Black Lays Him Out On AEW Collision
Andrade El Idolo made his return to All Elite Wrestling on Saturday night in a high octane match with Buddy Matthews.
Julia Hart would be at ringside for the match, with the two men trading momentum in a fast paced match, with Andrade’s arm and Buddy’s knee being the focal point of each men’s attacks. As we headed to commercial, both men would receive medical attention, which brought “let’s go doctors” chants.
The two would then go back to competing, with both still selling their respective injuries while in picture in picture. However, Buddy would take advantage, landing brutal offence to the returning Andrade, telling him to wake up. This would light a fire under Andrade, landing a sequence of dragon screws before continuing with more agile offense for a near fall.
The pair would then trade huge flying strikes, with more fun sequences with Andrade locking in the figure four leg lock in the middle of the ring, targeting Matthews’ injured knee. He would then bridge into the Figure 8, causing the tap from Buddy Matthews.
The lights would go out before the men would shake hands, with The Hose Of Black attacking Andrade and laying him out.
