Pro Wrestling NOAH Superstar Kaito Kiyomiya Says Kazuchika Okada Is Always On His Mind

Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar Kaito Kiyomiya and NJPW superstar Kazuchika Okada have developed quite a feud in 2023. It all began back at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 21st when Kiyomiya hit Okada with a stiff kick to the face in a tag team match that led to a wild brawl between the two. This led to a singles match between the two stars on February 21st at Keiji Muto’s Final Pro Wrestling Match event in which Okada defeated Kiyomiya. They crossed paths once again at All Together Again in a triple threat encounter on June 9th which saw Kiyomiya chasing Okada for much of the match.

Now with Kaito Kiyomiya making his NJPW G1 Climax debut in July, there is a very good chance that despite being in different blocks, we could see another one on one match between Kiyomiya and Kazuchika Okada.

Kiyomiya was recently interviewed by Tokyo Sports in which he was asked about Kazuchika Okada and him being in separate blocks at G1 Climax 33:

It figures that I don’t like that. He’s running away and I can’t see him as an opponent.

Kiyomiya was then asked about the All Together Again match and admitted that Okada is always on his mind:

Yes. Kazuchika Okada is always on my mind, so I plan to use the frustration of ALL TOGETHER, to win the G1. If I keep moving forward, it will naturally lead to a fight.

Kiyomiya discussed what the fans can expect from him at G1 Climax 33 which begins July 15th:

I want to make sure that I never waver from my fights I have been doing in Noah. Even so, I think it will look fresh to the fans who will be seeing it for the first time. I want to show my current self not only in matches, but also in entrances and everything else.

Kiyomiya then indicated that his goal is to bring Pro Wrestling NOAH to the top of the pro wrestling World:

I feel that Noah is rising in momentum now, but even so, New Japan’s leadership in the industry has not changed. My goal is to spread Noah and bring it to the top of the pro wrestling world, that’s why I feel like I should take a break from the N-1.
