Kenoh Wants To Move Jurisdiction Of AJPW Tag Team Titles To Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar Kenoh currently holds the All Japan Pro-Wrestling Tag Team Championship with fellow NOAH star Manabu Soya. Despite two attempts with two different partners, AJPW star Suwama was unable to bring the AJPW Tag Team titles back to it’s rightful promotion.

On June 15th, Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi will be challenging Kenoh and Soya for the AJPW Tag Team Titles at the AJPW Dynamite Series show. This will be Kenoh and Soya’s third defense of the tag titles.

In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, Kenoh was asked about the upcoming title defense in an AJPW ring and Kenoh declared that he will be looking to move jurisdiction of the AJPW Tag Team Titles to Pro Wrestling NOAH:

That’s right, but there’s no merit in getting in involved in All Japan anymore. That’s why I’m going to defend next and transfer the jurisdiction of the belt from PWF to Noah. That is why this is the last time I will defend in All Japan, I want to have a title match in Noah with Noah wrestlers.

Kenoh was also asked about his condition on having a sell out crowd to defend the titles in AJPW:

Being almost empty is pretty desolate when Miyahara, the face of All Japan, and Kenoh, the face of Noah, fight. On the 7th May, at the mini ALL TOGETHER in Ota, even though Tetsuya Naito from New Japan and Kenoh also performed, but there were plenty of empty seats. I’ve got used to Noah being sold out, because of the last Shinjuku event (May 31st) and the Yokohama event (10th), so All Japan Pro Wrestling, use me as a model to be sold out!

Kenoh discussed how he felt about Kaito Kiyomiya representing Pro Wrestling NOAH at NJPW G1 Climax 33:

If Kiyomiya can achieve good results, then it will be good for Noah, but there is nothing positive for Noah other than the championship.

Kenoh and Manabu Soya’s AJPW Tag Team Title defense against Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi can be seen live on AJPW.TV subscription streaming service on June 15th.
