WWE have more of a plan with regards to free agents compared to the previous regime.
During the WWE Draft, several superstars were designated as free agents, among them Mustafa Ali, Baron Corbin and Brock Lesnar.
Fightful Select have now reported that WWE have more of a plan for their free agents this time around, in comparison to how the concept was used by the previous creative regime.
WWE sources that Fightful Select spoke to said there were tentative plans in place quite a while ago for Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali to both work NXT, one of the reasons that the free agent tag was put on them. That same source said “despite a lot of things from the previous regime that made that cynicism around the free agent tags understandable, there was more of a plan for them this time.”

We will have to wait and see if the concept will continue to be booked better in the near future.
