There have been no walkouts planned despite CM Punk’s return.
After AEW All Out 2022, CM Punk went on a profanity laced rant that instigated the All Out Brawl. Since this incident, Punk has not been on AEW television. However, as announced earlier this week, Punk will return at AEW Collision on June 17th.
In the aftermath of the AEW All Out brawl, when the rumors of Punk returning to AEW began to swirl, several talent threatened to walk out should Punk be brought back to All Elite Wrestling.
Fightful Select now reports that there have been no walkouts planned in AEW at this time.
Immediately after AEW All Out, there were numerous wrestlers that said that they would have left the company if Punk was back. Most of those were tied to his words at the scrum as opposed to the brawl itself, of which we’ve heard that Punk would apologize for the former. Since it became abundantly clear that Punk was coming back, we haven’t heard that there are any walkouts planned. Things have absolutely cooled off.

With Punk’s return just weeks away, it is good to hear that his return has not lead to people wanting to leave AEW. For now, we will have to wait and see if the peace can be kept with Punk back in the company.
