MJF is not a fan of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
While speaking at the Double Or Nothing post-show media scrum, the AEW World Champion insulted NJPW, calling it an indie fed, stating the companies greatest legend couldn’t lace his boots.
“Do I have to wrestle at Forbidden Door? Fuck that. It’s a fucking Indie fed. With all due respect, their greatest legend probably couldn’t lace my boots. I think I would make anybody on that roster look silly, and I don’t want to waste my time. I’m a very busy man. I think New Japan Pro-Wrestling sucks. Except that Great-O-Khan guy, he pops me. I like him. Everybody else there is the drizzling shits. It reminds me of a local Indie fed.”

MJF defended the AEW World Title at Double Or Nothing, defeating Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy to retain.
MJF missed last year’s Forbidden Door, but we will have to wait and see if he will defend the title at this years show.
