The WWE came close to securing an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle was almost locked in to make an appearance to announce a draft pick but had to decline.
Kurt Revealed on his latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” “I was asked to do it, and I couldn’t, unfortunately. I wish I could have. I would have loved to be there and announce a draft pick, but unfortunately, I was busy that day and couldn’t do it… They offered me. I had to turn it down, unfortunately.”
The 2023 WWE Draft was definitely a special night as selected WWE Hall of Famers announced draft picks including “Easy E” Eric Bischoff, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Molly Holly, “Mr. Monday Night” Rob Van Dam and more.
Kurt Angle’s last appearance was taking part in the 30th-anniversary celebration of WWE Monday Night RAW. He also has been dealing with some medical issues including undergoing back surgery.
