The RAW Women’s Championship was on the line to kick off Backlash.
Bianca Belair found herself in unfamiliar territory in Puerto Rico, as the crowd booed her relentlessly during the match while cheering and chanting for IYO throughout the contest.
The match was back and forth, with Bianca working more heel to match the crowds reaction. There was a scary moment where Bianca dropped IYO on her face, but SKY recovered quickly and didn’t seem fazed by the mistake. She would soon be landing a huge moonsault to the outside, but Belair would kick out of the resulting pinfall.
Soon after, Belair would turn it around, landing a huge powerbomb from the top rope, but IYO would kickout. After this, Damage CTRL would come to ringside and after some shenanigans, Bayley would cause an accidental distraction to cost IYO SKY. Belair would then hit the KOD and pin SKY for the win.
