Doctor Told Joaquin Wilde He Should Have Been Dead After Stomach Injury

Joaquin Wilde wonders why he was allowed to live after suffering a traumatic injury to his stomach.

Wilde is a veteran of the independent scene, having worked all over the world before making his way to WWE. The LWO member almost did not make it to the big stage though.

In a new interview with Ryan Satin of the Out Of Character podcast, Wilde discussed a stomach injury that could have ended his life if it had gone untreated.

“It’s unbelievable. It wasn’t just that the injury happened, it should have ended my career, it should have ended my life. I remember speaking to a gastroenterologist two months after this injury happened and when he looked at my X-Rays and story, he said, ‘I feel like I’m talking to a ghost right now. You should be dead.’ I just thought to myself, why was I given this second chance? Why was I spared? Why am I still able to wrestle, why am I still alive? I just always thought that it was because there was still something left for me to achieve in this business. I guess WWE was the thing and here we are, I’m so glad it all worked out.”

Wilde is currently a member of The LWO, and Legado Del Fantasma before their name changes. He has been a successful tag team wrestler in the promotion and continues to dazzle fans with his high flying move-set.
