Finn Balor Has Had Conversations With NJPW About Appearing While Under WWE Contract Over The Years

Finn Balor has thought about making brief returns to New Japan Pro Wrestling over the years, despite being contracted to WWE.

Making his name in the promotion as Prince Devitt and being a founder of the iconic Bullet Club faction, Balor has always been fond of his time in the company.

Speaking on Comedy Store Wrestling, Romero, one of the key figures behind the scenes in NJPW noted that he has had discussions over the years about Balor possibly having another run in the promotion while under WWE contract.

“I’ve had a couple of fun conversations with him over the last couple of years of like him kind of fantasy booking, ‘I’m going to talk to Triple H and see if there’s an opportunity to come back.’ This was years ago. Just come back and do a couple of matches and re-heat himself up before going back to WWE. I definitely think there’s a value in that for somebody at that level who has been there for a few years, just heat them up by sending them out of the country and doing something really cool,”

While this may seem an automatic no from WWE, we have recent precedent that WWE may be more open to the idea in this current era as Shinsuke Nakamura recently appeared in NOAH.
