Tower Of Doom Tag Team Spot At WrestleMania 39 Originally Had Otis On Top

Otis was originally supposed take the worst of a tower of doom spot at WrestleMania, but it was nixed due his size.

At WrestleMania 39, there were two tag team showcases on the show and the mens one was a clear favorite of many fans. The match delivered and then some with highly creative spots throughout. At one point, there was a tower of doom spot involving 5 of the 8 competitors in the match. Now, is been revealed it originally looked differently.

While speaking on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Otis would reveal he was originally supposed to be on the top of the spot, rather than being a base.

“They wanted me to go up top there and I’m like, ‘Well, I’m a little scared of heights there.’ That’s why you’re only going to see the Vader Bomb from Otis. Braun is like, ‘Why can’t you do it?’ We’re trying to put my leg up in the little stubs. ‘Guys, I’m willing to do it and try it and willing to fail, but we shouldn’t do it at WrestleMania.’ We switched it around a little bit. Putting [Ricochet] up top, Montez, make a sandwich,

Otis is currently in the midst of a custody battle between Maximum Male Models and Alpha Academy, with no end in sight for this storyline.
