Brock Lesnar will not be facing Gunther at SummerSlam later this year in Detroit.
We have previously reported that WWE have had discussions about GUNTHER facing off with Brock Lesnar over the summer, but it appears now that WWE have no intention of the pair squaring off at SummerSlam, as reported by Dave Meltzer in the weekly Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Right now there are no plans for Lesnar vs. Gunther at SummerSlam or Lesnar vs. Gunther any time soon. Of course that can change because it is a viable match But if Lesnar is scheduled on SummerSlam there is already a direction that isn’t Gunther

At present, GUNTHER has no clear challenger for the Intercontinental Championship while Brock Lesnar is set to face off with Cody Rhodes at WWE Backlash. Time will tell if we will get GUNTHER vs Brock at some point over the summer regardless, but the match will not be taking place at SummerSlam.
