Saraya Explains Why The Outcasts Use Bright Green Spray Paint

Saraya and The Outcasts chose bright green spray paint for a reason.

The Outcasts fully formed at AEW Revolution, with Ruby Soho turning on Jamie Hayter after a women’s world title triple threat match. The faction has been terrorising the AEW roster, attacking and spray painting the homegrown stars of the roster.

Speaking about the use of spray paint in an interview with Josh Martinez on the Superstar Crossover podcast, she mentioned it was a homage to the groups she supported when she was younger.

“Honestly, I don’t know. I just felt like I love the nWo and it is a nod to them. People think we just randomly ripped them off. No, we’re actually inspired by them. It’s a whole different story. We’re very open about how inspired we are by them,” she said, “I love lime green. It’s so iconic. You had DX and stuff like that too, it was awesome. Then you know, The Bellas kind of did the spray paint thing with me, too.”

We will have to wait and see what comes next for the faction, but many fans have been calling for them to partake in Blood and Guts later this summer.

Elsewhere in the interview, Saraya referenced the hints the faction made towards Ruby’s heel turn before it happened.
