Rick Steiner Refuses To Comment On Transphobic Ranting, Currently On Local School Board

Rick Steiner is currently on a school board and local mainstream media have taken notice of his transphobic rantings at Gisele Shaw.

Rick Steiner was accused of using transphobic language toward Gisele Shaw at WrestleCon. This is inexcusable, and the pro wrestling world rallied against the offensive words that the WWE Hall of Famer hurled at Shaw. Now, it could affect his life outside pro wrestling.

A lot of people don’t realize this, but Rick Steiner if on his county’s school board of directors. His story might have grabbed headlines in the niche pro wrestling market, but it also garnered attention from TMZ. It didn’t take long for Cherokee County Schools to hear about this as well.

Atlanta’s 11 Alive News reported on the incident at Wrestlecon involving Rick Steiner. Steiner, who is a long-standing member of the local school board in Cherokee County, GA, was the subject of the news outlet’s coverage due to his ties to the area. Naturally, this was not the kind of press he wanted.

In the report, it was noted that Rick Steiner refused to comment on the situation. That being said, there were plenty of others who have commented on his situation in the meantime.

Rick Steiner was banned from all future WrestleCon events after he made those transphobic and misgendering comments toward Gisele Shaw. Others have come forward to back up this allegation, although no video evidence has surfaced yet.
