WWE’s Other Potential Buyers Believed The Company Did Not Need Vince McMahon

Endeavor, UFC’s parent company, dropped a massive bag to buy WWE. Now, WWE and UFC are set to merge into one publicly traded company. Vince McMahon is also sticking around, and he wanted it that way.

Fightful Select now reports that WWE had other potential buyers, but they didn’t want to keep Vince McMahon around. It was not said that Endeavor is the only company who wanted to keep Vince McMahon around, but they certainly didn’t kick him out the door after buying the company.

The other potential suitors had people that we spoke with prior reiterated now much WWE had proven they didn’t need Vince McMahon at all, let alone want him involved. They even called it a big potential hurdle for a sale

Mr. McMahon already confirmed that he will be making big decisions on creative, but he won’t get “in the weeds anymore.” Only time will tell if Vince McMahon takes full control of WWE creative at the same time, but things are certainly changing once again in WWE.
