Next Inductee Into The WWE Hall Of Fame Reportedly Revealed

According to Variety, Andy Kaufman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023. Kaufman, a cherished comedian of the 70s and 80s, is fondly remembered by numerous fans for his performance on the “Taxi” series from 1978 to 1983.

Andy Kaufman, a renowned comedian and actor, made an indelible mark in the world of professional wrestling with his controversial feud against Jerry “The King” Lawler in Memphis wrestling back in 1983.

Andy Kaufman captivated the attention of wrestling fans by challenging women from the audience to impromptu wrestling matches, a tactic that earned him a lot of heat as a heel. Kaufman’s popularity soared, and he was booked for more shows, culminating in a momentous piledriver from Lawler.

One of the defining moments of their feud was when Lawler made a guest appearance on David Letterman’s NBC Late Night show, and during the interview, Kaufman provoked Lawler into slapping him, causing a huge commotion among the audience. The event became one of the most memorable moments in television history and cemented Kaufman’s legacy in the wrestling world.
