Ring Of Honor TV Results (3/16/23)

Ring of Honor presented the second episode of their new era on Thursday, March 16, 2023, and it aired on ROH Honor Club.

  • ROH World Championship – Proving Ground Match: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Willie Mack.
  • Dante Martin (w/ Darius Martin) vs. Mike Bennett (w/ Maria Kanellis-Bennett & Matt Taven of The Kingdom)
    • The Kingdom attacked Dante after the match before Darius came to the aid of his brother & ran them off.
  • Blake Christian & Gran Metalik def. The Trustbusters (Ari Daivari & Slim J) (w/ “Smart” Mark Sterling).
    • There was a video package detailing the rivalry between Mark Briscoe & Samoa Joe ahead of their match for the ROH TV Championship on Supercard of Honor. After that, Mark Briscoe called out Tony Nese & “Smart” Mark Sterling, saying that he will make it his personal mission to take out everyone Sterling represents.
  • Eddie Kingston def. Jeeves Kay (w/ “Smart” Mark Sterling).
    • During the match, ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli watched from the crowd while drinking coffee. Kingston tossed Kay onto Castagnoli outside, spilling Claudio’s coffee onto his t-shirt.
    • The Trustbusters (Ari Daivari, Slim J, Jeeves Kay & “Smart” Mark Sterling) were interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair before Daivari called out Metalik & Blake Christian for a Trios Tag Match.
  • ROH Women’s World Championship – Proving Ground Match: Athena def. Hyan.
    • Blake Christian & Metalik were interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair before revealing that AR Fox would be teaming with them against the Trustbusters soon, saying that a new trio was born & that they would keep a close eye on the 6-Man Tag Title match.
  • Silas Young def. Marcus Kross.
    • Silas Young cut a promo after the match bragging that he was the greatest ROH TV Champion ever, but was interrupted by a returning Shane Taylor. Taylor challenged Young to a match next week.
  • ROH Women’s Champion Athena was interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair before Athena demanded Nair ask why Yuka Sakazaki was evading her. Athena called out Sakazaki and called her out to a match for the title on Supercard of Honor.
  • ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships: The Embassy (c) (Brian Cage, Kaun, Toa Liona) (w/ Prince Nana) def. Dalton Castle & The Boys (Brandon & Brent Tate).
    • The Embassy attacked Dalton Castle & The Boys before the team of AR Fox, Metalik & Blake Christian came in to make the save.
  • Trish Adora def. Madison Rayne.
    • Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin) were interviewed backstage before calling out The Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) to step up or take flight.
  • Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels def. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd).
    • Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) confronted Daniels & Sydal after the match before challenging them to a match whenever they are ready because they want to face them at their best to prove they are the best team in the world. Christopher Daniels got a microphone said that they look good & gained a lot of experience since they first won the tag titles before he accepted Au
  • La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH & Dralistico) In Action.
  • ROH Pure Championship Match: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Clark Connors.
    • After the match, Yuta called out LA Dojo professor and New Japan wrestler Katsuyori Shibata to a match at Supercard of Honor.
