The Undertaker Believes Brock Lesnar Didn’t Need To Break His Streak

The Undertaker’s streak gained a lot of prominence over the years with some of the best matches taking place involving him and many top WWE superstars. However, it was Brock Lesnar who laid the streak to rest at WrestleMania XXX in 2014.

In addition to Brock Lesnar, Undertaker also suffered a defeat at WrestleMania 33 at the hands of Roman Reigns. The Lord of Darkness now feels that Roman Reigns should have been the first person to dethrone him at WrestleMania. He spoke about this in an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport.

“I think it would’ve been great for Roman,” Taker concluded. “I don’t think that it elevated [Brock’s] stardom like it could’ve helped someone else.”

“I don’t think Brock needed it… Brock was a major attraction, he was a star. I don’t know if it enhanced him anymore.”

In the years leading up to WrestleMania 30, Undertaker also listed some of the individuals who Vince McMahon desired to break the streak with. Taker specifically named Edge and Vladimir Kozlov as candidates for the honors, with Edge personally declining the offer.
