Wardlow Was The Most Emotional He Had Ever Been Before A Match At AEW Revolution

The highly anticipated AEW Revolution event witnessed fierce competition between Samoa Joe and Wardlow for the coveted TNT Championship. While Joe’s in-ring skills and experience were on display, Wardlow’s agility and strength left a lasting impression on the enthralled audience.

In the end, Wardlow put The Samoan Submission Machine in a sleeper hold and won the match, thus becoming the new TNT Champion. While speaking during the post-AEW Revolution press conference, Wardlow talked about his TNT Championship win. Wardlow then revealed that he was the most emotional he had ever been, prior to his match with Samoa Joe.

I had a moment tonight about 10 mintues before my match, where I did get a little emotional. It was the most emotional I have ever been going into a match. I think there was a time where I had a full mount on him, raining down fists, I think I almost came close to getting myself disqualified. It takes many many years of anger to gain the peace and control that I have had to learn to, because I didn’t always have control on it. Thank god I learned to control it. It doesn’t matter how bad somebody pisses me off, how personal things get. I’m a monster, but I’m an intelligent one. I can control myself to make sure the ending is how I wanted it to be.

During the next episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite, the stage is set for an epic showdown between Will Hobbs and Wardlow for the coveted title. Hobbs even had a confrontation with Wardlow during that same media scrum. While it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious, the match is sure to be one filled with intense action and excitement.
