EXCLUSIVE: Colby Corino Officially Signs With WWE

One of wrestling’s top free agents has officially signed with WWE.

I had originally reported back in December of last year, that Corino would be finishing up his time with the NWA and would become a free agent January 1st of this year. Additionally, I reported that it was expected that Colby Corino would be heading to Orlando for his WWE tryout sometime in January.

In an update on my original report, I can now confirm that Colby Corino officially signed a deal with WWE earlier this week. Sources indicated to me that Corino is expected to report to NXT very soon, and could be as early as the beginning of March.

Corino’s WWE tryout took place at the end of January, and it was noted that he was brought in individually and signed alone, and was not part of an incoming “class” of new talents.

Colby has recently been wrapping up his final dates on the independent scene. He wrestled a “Last Dance” match against Homicide for Catalyst Wrestling, and last night for PWF in North Carolina saw the final appearance of all three The Ugly Ducklings (Colby Corino, Rob Killjoy, and Lance Lude).
