Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mother, Ata Johnson, survived a serious car crash in Los Angeles. He went on to reveal how his mother had survived numerous obstacles throughout her life.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet for the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday, The Rock revealed that his mother Ata Johnson is “doing good” following the crash. The Rock would then go on to tell the outlet that he learned of his mother’s accident via a phone call in the middle of the night.
“It was 3 a.m. when I got that phone call,” the Black Adam star said. “You know when my phone rings at 3 a.m. and it’s a family member, it’s not good.”

Ata Johnson was born in the South Pacific island nation of Samoa and raised in a traditional Samoan family. Ata married Rocky Johnson, a professional wrestler, and the couple had two children together, including Dwayne. We are glad to see she is doing well and that’s all that matters.
