Comcast Pulling Out Of WWE Sale Talks Could Lower The Value Of WWE

Comcast was said to be interested in buying WWE, but then company CEO Nick Khan was informed that Comcast isn’t interested. This could change things up in a big way for WWE’s sales plan.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Comcast removing their interest from the situation could spell trouble for the company’s mission to sell at a high price. If anything, Comcast pulling out could also scare off potential buyers.

They need to make it look like people want them, but it word is out that Comcast doesn’t, that might hurt the sale, because that might lower the value. People might go, ‘if Comcast is paying all this money for them, and they don’t trust — and the only way you wouldn’t is that you don’t wanna make that outway right now, because everythign is so uncertain, or as much as wrestling’s history is what it is, you don’t have fuull trust that it’ll be forever.”

Comcast, Endeavor (UFC’s parent company), and even Saudi Arabia were said to be in the running. Only time will tell if Comcast pulling their interest will cause a huge shift in the favorite potential buyer for WWE.

We will have to see what happens as the year continues. WWE initially had hopes that the company would be sold by the middle of 2023.
