WWE Pulled “Funeral” Segment From NXT After News Broke Of Jay Briscoe’s Passing

WWE pulled a segment from NXT last night.

According to John Pollock from Post Wrestling, NXT nixed a funeral segment with the New Day that they planned for this week’s show. This was a call that they made at the last minute.

New Day was scheduled to host a funeral segment on NXT on Tuesday night – this segment was changed after the news of Jay Briscoe’s passing, per sources

WWE NXT saw the New Day come out to the ring this week wearing suits. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston didn’t do any funeral bits, and they just cut a regular promo. Then they were joined by Gallus and Pretty Deadly to set up their Vengeance Day three-way tag team match. Our thoughts go out to Jay Briscoe’s entire family, friends, and fans.
