WWE are going to great lengths to keep the identity of Uncle Howdy a secret – even backstage.
Uncle Howdy’s identity has yet to be revealed, with a full body outfit and a mask keeping fans from knowing who Bray Wyatt’s frenemy is. While his build has been broken down and many fans believe they know who it is, for now WWE have yet to confirm the man underneath the mask.
Fightful Select now reports that WWE have even kept the identity secret backstage at SmackDown’s, with whoever is under the mask not removing the gear backstage.
Whoever Uncle Howdy is, WWE is playing it close to the vest. Fightful has inquired repeatedly about who has portrayed the Bray Wyatt-contingent gimmick. We were told that thus far, the person who is in the outfit doesn’t take it off backstage in front of other people to reveal themselves.

We will have to wait and see who is under the mask but for now, WWE are keeping it a closely secret.
