FTR Compensated Mike Posey For Bleeding During Dog Collar Match

At ROH Final Battle, FTR battled The Briscoes in a Dog Collar Match that saw the referee get involved.

During the match at ROH Final Battle, Jay Briscoe pulls referee Mike Posey in the way of a punch with the dog collar from Dax Harwood which busted Posey open. Posey’s face was all bloody from the shot. Speaking on his FTR podcast with Matt Koon, Dax praised Posey for his involvement in the match.

I have thanked Posey so many times for that moment because it made our match. The one little moment took it from a great match to an unforgettable match. He was fucking ready to go with that. I asked him, ‘I have this idea, if you don’t feel comfortable, I don’t blame you. If you don’t want to do it, I totally understand. Here’s my idea.’ I told him, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it.’ ‘Have you ever bled before?’ ‘No, not really, but I’m down to do it,’

Dax continued, revealing he and Cash compensated Posey for getting busted open.

I don’t think he would mind if I told you this, because he tried to talk us out of it, but me and Cash, because it meant so much to the match and our legacy and the legacy of that trilogy, that he did that for us and he trusted us to do that and he wanted to be a part of it. Me and Cash wanted to compensate him for that. We made sure that money was taken out of our checks and sent to him and his family before Christmas. I could never thank him enough for what he did for that match, our trilogy, and me and Cash’s career. I hope he knows that the money means nothing, but the love I have for him and what he did is way more than that,

The Briscoes ended up winning the match and became the ROH Tag Team Champions for the 13th time.
