Eric Bischoff Expects NXT Will Pull In More Viewers Than Dynamite By Mid Summer

NXT has gone through numerous changes over the years. Its biggest change was debuting an entirely new and colorful look, with an emphasis on younger talent. After Triple H took charge, NXT reverted back to the black and gold look, but still focuses on new talent.

The ratings war between AEW and WWE continues to be a huge topic even now. While speaking on 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff stated that he believes NXT is a threat to AEW and will probably outperform AEW in the ratings by mid-summer

At this point, NXT is probably going to deliver more ratings than Dynamite does by mid-summer.

If the trend that you can see visually continues, my prediction for 2023 is that NXT is going to outperform Dynamite unless things change pretty quickly.

If the focus of your product is match quality at the expense of legitimate, well-constructed, disciplined storytelling and character development, then you’re going to appeal to an audience that is never going to grow.”

During the Wednesday Night Wars, AEW beat NXT when it came to ratings. We will have to wait and see whether AEW will be able to improve its ratings issue, as Dynamite hasn’t touched 1 million viewers in a long time.
