It looks like the match between Yuta and Strickland was not originally supposed to happen on AEW Rampage.
The pair had a solid singles match with Strickland cheating his way to a victory over the Ring Of Honor Pure Champion.
On this week’s episode of Grapsody, Will Washington reported that Swerve Strickland was originally supposed to take on Wheeler Yuta on Dynamite. However, it was changed to Rampage last minute, and AEW pivoted to AR Fox vs. Swerve on Dynamite.
Wednesday will not be the first time that Swerve Strickland and AR Fox will have clashed as the pair have significant history due to their battles in Lucha Underground. It is certainly going to be an exciting affair on this week’s Dynamite.
