Charlotte Flair Says 2022 Might Have Been The Best Year Of Her Life

Charlotte Flair became SmackDown Women’s Champion on this week’s edition of the blue brand.

WWE cameras caught up with the newly-crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion backstage on the blue brand. The Queen said she ended the year by returning to the place where she belonged.

“I’m a little speechless right now. 2022 might be the best year of my life. Even going back to the beginning, I was able to wrestle in Saudi Arabia for the first time. I beat Ronda Rousey for the first time, at WrestleMania which was always a bucket list. Then, I got married. Traveled the world with my husband. And then ending the year where I belong, where I’m home. It was picture perfect, fairy tale. This is the first time I’ve ever been away, since 2015. To come back, before my music hit, I was like, ‘Do I know how to be that?’ I’m just honored to be back and pay back to Ronda. She thought I was gonna let the I Quit match go. When I went home. I thought to myself that I’m a lot of things to a lot of people but one thing I’m not is quitter. So, I waited till the right opportunity… 14 time!”
