Drew McIntyre Believes The Samoan Dynasty Conspired To Save Roman Reigns’ Title Reign

The Scottish Warrior was pitted against the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship in front of a sell-out crowd at WWE’s first major premium live event for the United Kingdom in Cardiff, Wales. With Drew McIntyre being the home crowd favorite, there was a heavy belief that he would be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns.

However, a timely assist by a debuting Solo Sikoa helped Roman Reigns retain his titles against Drew McIntyre. The former WWE champion believes that Sikoa must have been sent by the Samoan elders to preserve Reigns’ title reign, further claiming that he would have won the match had The Bloodline Enforcer not intervened. He spoke about this during an interview with Sony Sports India.

“I had him at Clash at the Castle. I had him pinned for the visual three count for the first time in his historic run. He introduced Solo. He didn’t, I guess, the elders knew enough to know that I was gonna take him down. It wasn’t Heyman, wasn’t Roman. The elders sent Solo Sikoa to break up that three count and cost me the match at Clash at the Castle. Roman knew what I was capable of, the family clearly knew what I was capable of.”

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has battled Roman Reigns twice during his historic title reign, however, he came up short in both attempts. With the Scottish Warrior fully aware of his tactics now, the third time could be Drew’s moment to score a victory over the Head of the Table, whenever the highly anticipated match takes place.
