Jeff Hardy Called ROH “Ring Of Horror” After His Promotional Debut

In 2003, Jeff Hardy made his debut at Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor show, following his WWE exit. He introduced the world to his ‘Willow’ persona, wrestling in a triple threat match against Joey Matthews and Krazy K.

However, Hardy was disappointed with the match as it did not receive the reaction he was hoping for, calling it ‘Ring of Horror’ for the longest time. This was revealed by Matt Hardy on the latest episode of “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast.

“That was a very famous night where he first like debuted Willow there on ROH, came out in that and that match was actually put together by Thomas Simpson, who you just saw there, if I’m not mistaken. It was Jeff, he was doing something with Kirby Mack, who was a student of Thomas Simpson back in the day. And somehow he enabled a deal to get Jeff to come to the ROH show. But I remember Jeff never wanted to go back to ROH. After that, I remember for the longest time he called it Ring of Horror, and he was so upset about the reaction he got there.”

The former 9-time WWE tag team champion is yet to return to television programming after his latest DUI, and we can surely expect another run filled with high-flying risks taken by The Charismatic Enigma when he has completed rehab.
