Last month, Kendrick tried out as a producer in WWE. He produced the Ronda Rousey versus Shotzi Blackheart match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WWE Survivor Series WarGames along with Jason Jordan.
Brian Kendrick’s inclusion was also seen as a surprise by many in WWE, with many fans condemning the company for working with Kendrick after his litany of controversies. While speaking during a virtual signing with Captain’s Corner, Kendrick made it clear that he still wants another in-ring run, in a company of his choosing.
It’s something I strive for [to have another in-ring run with a major company]. Yeah, it’s something I strive for. Whatever happens, happens but it’s something I strive for, yeah.

Ronda Rousey had personally requested Kendrick produce her match. Despite his appearance, WWE has not hired Brian Kendrick back fulltime and are unlikely to do so in the end. We’ll have to see where Kendrick will end up next.
