Tony Nese Remembers WrestleMania Moment With Kevin Owens

Tony Nese has been everywhere.

Tony Nese is currently in AEW, but he did work with WWE from 2016 to 2021. During his WWE run, Tony competed at WrestleMania only one time, which was at WrestleMania 35 against Buddy Matthews on the preshow. Recently, Tony joined the AEW Unrestricted podcast and spoke about his WrestleMania moment when he rematched Buddy a few days later on 205 Live.

The last thing is 205 Live of all this, The cool thing about that match, if you listen to the crowd, we genuinely got them. You were able to feel it throughout the match and by the end of the match, we got a standing ovation from people who’d been watching wrestling all week long.

He continued on to talk about Kevin Owens approaching him on stage after the 205 Live match in the Barclays Center.

Kevin Owens was making his entrance or whatever [for a dark match], He even came out, gave me a huge hug and kind of gave me my moment in front of the crowd and everything. That whole moment, it felt like that capped off WrestleMania for me. That was my WrestleMania experience right there.
