WWE Announces The Opening MatchUp For SmackDown

Nothing better than kicking a show off with champions!

WWE has taken to social media to announce that tonight’s SmackDown will kick off with the WWE Tag Team Championship Match between the current champions, The Usos, and the challengers, The New Day. The match came about all due to a particular record that could possibly be broken. The New Day are the current holders of the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions record with 483 days. But, if The Usos defeat New Day tonight and retain their titles, they’re on their way to officially breaking that record. The Usos current stand at 481 days as Tag Team Champions and if they win tonight, Monday will mark the day that the record is officially broken.

Will the Usos break a long standing record? Or will the New Day stop the Usos just 2 days shy to capture the gold once again? Tune into SmackDown tonight on Fox at 8/7c.
