AEW Have Been Taping Segments Ahead Of Time To Ease Travelling For Talent

It appears AEW have been attempting to ease travel stress on AEW competitors.

Taping segments ahead of schedule is usually difficult when it comes to in ring segments. However, when it comes to backstage segments, these have a little more freedom to be taped in advance without fear of spoilers leaking.

Fightful Select have now reported that AEW have been doing this consistently in order to ease stress on talent.

While it’s nothing new, All Elite Wrestling has regularly practiced filming segments for talent the week ahead when they won’t be wrestling the at the next week’s tapings. We’re told this is done to save on travel, and to ease the schedule for talent so they’re not flying in for two days only to do one minute backstage segments. Fightful Select had reported that the Hardy Boyz and Young Bucks did that earlier this year, but we’ve also learned that last week’s Keith Lee and Swerve segment from the Cincinnati tapings was actually filmed the week prior in Toronto. In addition, this is done regularly with PAC, who travels back and forth to the UK regularly.

This is certainly an interesting development as it shows AEW are attempting to ease travel strain on talent, in particular talent flying in from outside the US.
