AEW Dynamite Results – 26/10/22 – World Title Clash Main Events

Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite comes from the state of Virginia and is a stacked affair with multiple matches with title implications.

Tony Khan previewed the stacked card earlier today. Check out the live results for the show below.

We open the broadcast with Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia vs Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Claudio Castagnoli has an incredible performance. Claudio pins Jericho for the win.

Bryan Danielson has an interview with Renee Paquette. Danielson laments he is frustrated about several things, Wheeler Yuta walks to the back and confront Danielson, and they get into an argument before Regal and Claudio separate them. Claudio mentions Wheeler Yuta’s birthday, says that they will talk it out like adults. Was this a shot at CM Punk?

The Elite Vigenette

JAS promo. Jericho says he will defend the Ring Of Honor world title next week in an open challenge against any former Ring Of Honor World Champion. Sammy Guevara cuts a short promo.

Swerve In Our Glory vs FTR. The Gunns are in the front row dressed as FTR. The Acclaimed watch from the stage. Keith Lee gets an awesome early showcase where he takes out both members of FTR. After a commercial, Dax Harwood goes on a chopping spree on both Swerve and Lee. He drives Lee out of the ring alone. Dax and Swerve trade near falls. We will hear from MJF next. The two teams start turning it up with some incredible exchanges. Crowd starts chanting This Is Awesome. FTR hit the Big Rig but Swerve interrupts the pin. During the final exchanges, Keith Lee accidentally hit Swerve, but while the referee’s back was turned, Swerve low blowed Dax Harwood, with The Gunns holding Cash Wheeler from getting involved. Swerve In Our Glory would get the win and are the new number one contenders.

Saraya and Renee Paquette backstage, Britt Baker interrupts Saraya, the two begin screaming at each other before Renee stops them.

MJF is interviewed by Renee Paquette. MJF mocks Moxley, Renee works the interview clearly annoyed by this. MJF says he will wrestle basically clean. Says he will not use his Dynamite Diamond Ring. Stokely interrupts. Says The Firm will not touch Moxley. MJF tells Stokely not to lay a hand or look at Moxley or he’s fired.

The Kingdom promo. Matt Taven will face Wardlow for the TNT Title on AEW Rampage.

Bryan Danielson vs Sammy Guevara

Match starts off fast with Sammy hitting the springboard cutter early. Match is very physical with the two trading big strikes. Sammy ends up hitting a springboard moonsault on the outside as we head to the first commercial. Danielson is working this match very stiff. Sammy is hanging in there though. Incredible Spanish Fly from Guevara. Danielson fires up and hits the flying knee, stomps on Guevara’s face before tapping Sammy out with a triangle for the win.

Renee Paquette backstage interview with Rey Fenix. Christian interrupts with Luchasauras. Orange Cassidy interrupts and challenges both for the title in a hilariously calm promo. Match set for next week.

Jamie Hayter defeats Riho. Toni Storm comes out afterwards to tease a match with Hayter.

Several matches added to next week’s Rampage and Dynamite.

Jon Moxley Defeats Penta El Zero Miedo to retain the AEW World Championship. The Firm attack Moxley! MJF attempts to make the save but The Firm attack him also. MJF is put through a table by W Morrisey to end the show.
