IMPACT Wrestling has taken to their social media Twitter account numerous today to announce a few new matches for this weekend’s Sin City Showdown TV Tapings at Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. These particular matches will all be filmed tonight.
The first match announced is Eddie Edwards taking on the former Honor No More monster, PCO. PCO snapped last night at the end of the show when he got tired of Eddie Edwards questioning his loyalty to the group and finally had enough. Eddie looks to put PCO in his place in this STREET FIGHT.
Also last night, Eric Young was defeated by Rich Swann. Post match, Eric and fellow Violent By Design group member – Deaner – tried to demolish Rich Swann with a 2-on-1 beatdown. However, it was interrupted by Sami Callihan, who cleared the ring with a baseball bat. Eric Young looks to get revenge on Sami for meddling in his business.
During last night’s episode, Kazarian relinquished the X Division title and exercised option C to give himself a World Title shot. This vacated the X Division title, and IMPACT EVP Scott D’Amore announced an 8 man tournament that will culminate at the Overdrive LIVE event on November 18 in Louisville, Kentucky to crown a new X Division Champion. The first match announced for this taking is the most recent former X Division Champion Speedball” Mike Bailey taking on Kenny King.
Moments ago, Josh Alexander took to his own Twitter account to announce a HUGE matchup being taped tonight. Josh will be teaming up with AEW star and top contender to his title, Frankie Kazarian, and they’ll be taking on the New Japan Pro Wrestling US Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions, Aussie Open.
IMPACT Wrestling also took to their Facebook account for some announcements as well. As part of the X Division title tournament, Trey Miguel will be taking on a returning Alan Angels, and Black Taurus will be taking on Laredo Kid. VXT & Gisele Shaw will be teaming up to take on Mickie James, Taylor Wilde, and IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace.
